Hey Friend,
What do you do when the party's over?
My last email was full of balloons and confetti. It was the day of my book launch, almost 2 months ago. What a wild day. It still feels unbelievable.
And now I'm in a weird place.
I spent so much time and energy getting ready for the launch, I didn't stop to think about what it would look like afterwards.
First let me just say, it's not over. I'm still in full-on sharing mode, chatting with some amazing podcasts (see below!), and speaking with fantastic groups. (Is yours next? Email me back!) I'm still hearing from people who are so impacted by the book's message and overcoming old patterns of thinking because of it.
Side note, it's also still for sale--and on sale here.
But...I'm not sure what happens as the confetti settles. I have a few ideas in my mind, a couple projects I'm starting, and I feel the need to keep moving. On the other hand, I feel that crash that happens after a big huge life event and a sudden shift in season. Whenever I feel a lack of direction, it can get me down.
Do you relate? Are you in a season of pause, or stalling, or waiting, or feeling stuck?
There are always things we can do while we're in pause mode:
While I don't have all the answers about what comes next, I do know that God is constant, that he never takes a break from his work in our lives, and that there is always some way that we can go deeper with him.
Also: can I ask you a question?
What would serve you well as this new year approaches? As I contemplate where to put my energy, I'd love to know what would be most helpful:
Please respond to this email and let me know!
With lots of warmth as we head into the colder, cozier months,
Jenn
Speaking of new projects:
I started a Substack! Substack is a newsletter but with the added bonus of being able to interact a bit more personally, with comments and notes.
It's called The Revivalist, and currently it's a weekly post sharing about coming into life and freedom from spiritual burnout and renewal from old patterns of thinking. It's for you if you'd like to go a little deeper than social media posts, are wanting renewal from soul exhaustion, and want to chat more with me. I would love to see you there.

Free Devotional:
I was honored to be part of Rachael Adams' devotional, Who You Say I Am. It's free for download, and features many amazing writers reminding us who we are to God, and who we are in Christ.
By the way...know a group who wants to dive deeper into comparison, envy, loneliness, relationships, identity, insecurities, etc?
I'm scheduling speaking events (in person and virtual) into 2024. (In the next few months, I'm speaking to a faith-based business, a group of churches, and a MOPS group!)
If your group -- women's ministry, book club, moms group, etc -- would benefit from talking more about comparison, insecurity, identity, relationships, envy, or boundaries, let's talk!
Reply to this email, and we'll chat more.

Cheering you on!
Jenn

I empower women to trade insecurity for identity and intention with God. Through my blog (formerly What You Make It), social media (@jennschultzauthor) and podcast (Called Into Being), I share about messy simple faith, confidently pursuing your calling, and living a wholehearted life. My first book comes out in September with Esther Press/David C. Cook!
Did you get this email from a friend? Join the list and let's make it official! Hey Friend, It's RARE that I send out more than one email in a month, so it must be important! I'll be quick: She's Not Your Enemy is currently $13.11 on Amazon, the lowest price I've seen it! (Kindle and Audiobook are available too.) She's Not Your Enemy on Amazon I feel like God is behind this timing because... if your 2024 New Year's Resolutions include growing in confidence, identity, stronger relationships,...
Did you get this email from a friend? Let's make it official! Hey Friend, On December 17, 2021, something big happened. I got an email from my amazing agent, Keely, saying that while nothing was official yet, there was good news about a potential book deal coming from my most recent proposal. It was a find yourself in tears on the floor kind of moment. After over a year of prayers and hard work on book proposals and meetings and rejections, this was a turning point. And today, that book makes...
Did you get this email from a friend? Let's make it official! Hey Friend, The other day, I could feel it. I could smell it. Fall is on its way. (Can't you just hear the Gilmore Girls La La song in the background?) I don't usually like to skip ahead. There are a few more weeks of summer left, and I want to soak them in. But with fall comes a busy season that arrives fast and hits hard -- namely, back to school season. You might be heading back to school yourself. Maybe you're a mom like me...
